Here's the scenario:
Im 21 working on being a rider. i have no riding exp. since i know no one, or related to one that rides bikes. so it is in my plans to take a riding course. so, basically, im on my own here.
now, ive been shopping around and to my surprise, nobody would finance me a bike, despite owning a visa for 3 years and paying on time, always. Their reason being, that apart from this loan, i have not had a loan that big before. Also, i do not have $8-12,000 in my pocket right now to just blow off. Thats why im strictly thinking of financing because i want to ride ASAP.
i was advised that i would have to get a cosigner but my parents have not really been supportive about sportbikes. (they would co-sign for a car, but not this, nor in my lifetime). I do understand why they would do that too, any normal parent wouldn't support this hobby either. so basically, that idea is out the window.
anyways, this is really detrimental to my pursuit of riding. if i can't find a place that will finance me a bike, i probably won't even bother spending the $$$ to go to riding school, ( i currently have my learners for bikes), and my pursuit stops there. I really don't want it to come to this, so i was hoping u guys could give me some suggestions as from what to do from here.
I'm pretty sure some of u have paren'ts that didn't support u riding bikes and i know some of u have dealt with financings. so any input is appreciated.
oh yeah, going to those financers that charges u an arm and a leg in interests, is definitely out of the question. i don't want to be ass raped in fees.
thanks in advance.
