I know some of the members here have in the past expressed their opinions about Vancouver Yamaha (Atlas Motorcycles). I've looked at some of their bikes in their store recently and they have some pretty sweet looking import bikes in there. OK, I admit the salesmen there gives me bad vibes and some of the bikes advertised don't jive with the body color schemes or parts that are suppose to be on the bikes. So you're wondering if that's not enough reason to make anyone run from the store.....well, no one else sells these bikes in town..as far as I know anyways. So I'm wondering, if I were to find a nice TZR250, NSR250, VFR400 or FZR400 that looks half decent, how can I test the bike out mechanically? Will they let you bring in a mechanic? I know they won't let someone test ride the bike, and they also say flat out there are no warranties on the bikes.....hell, they won't even start up a bike I was looking at while I was there. Also, do you guys know if it's really hard to find parts for these bikes if it does break down or are the parts interchangeable with some of the domestic Honda's and Yamaha's?
