I've started researching photo printers in the hopes of starting my own little photo lab. I plan on just having the negatives developed by London Drugs or wherever, and scanning the negatives onto my computer, where I can sort through the crap to find the shots I actually want prints of.
For my purposes, all I want is a printer that is capable of producing clear 5x7 prints with accurate color and no dots. I've seen printers out there that are very cheap (Epson SP820, for example), but have been told they use very expensive, non-refillable ink cartridges. Is there a bit of a trade-off with the more expensive printers?
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? Thanks!
