Here we go with more tech questions, I'll figure these bike engines out eventually. So, I gotta clean the carbs on my Katana cause they sound and feel pretty gummed up. I bought the bike used and it has a Yoshi slip on exhaust. Seller said the carbs were jetted by a reputable Vancouver shop.
Hubby knows how to take and put together carbs so he can step me through that, however, he's never seen the inside of jetted carbs. Can someone tell me what a jetted carb actually is? What happens in there? Is there something in there that has be dealt with by a shop or can it be done at home (besides having them sunk). Basically, if my hubby opens up the carb is he gonna be able to say "oh, that makes sense."
