elec syst questions
i have a couple of questions about my '02 f4i.
1) the manual states that i should put a small amount of engine oil through the spark plug holes to protect the cylinder walls from rusting. should i bother with this procedure if it's only going to be parked for two months?
the bike will be parked outside but covered.
2) the manual does not clarify what to do with the wires after pulling them off the plugs other than to secure them aside. then i'm supposed to turn the bike over for a couple of seconds to distribute the oil on the cyl walls. so i'm guessing i do all cyls at the same time while turning over the engine once. what about the ignition system though?
the manual is pretty vague about hazards/damage/further steps to take to keep from damaging the elec system. do i need to do anything further or just keep the wires from touching the bike during turnover?
thanks for your help
i'd unhook the coils before turning it over unless it turns over with the kill switch off.
this is my...boomstick!
It's two months, it's not necessary to oil it.

If you can disconect the ECM and still turn the bike over, great, if you can't (more likely) you'll just have to cross fingers you don't fry the ECM. It's a low probability but, not nonexistent.
yeah it's only two months, i won't bother, if i can last that long.
