First day back riding. Wooohoooo!!! I just finished my latest project (pics will be up soon) and rode it out to work in North Van.
I went to start it up after work and the headlights didn't work. I checked the fuse and it was blown. No problem, I went back inside and got a small piece of speaker wire from AVS and fired it back up. I only had to make it back to Vancouver and we don't sell fuses . I started to have a little bit of fun on the way home so I decided to take the scenic route through the park.
The park is bumpy as hell and I don't normally bother but I guess it's been long enough for me to forget that. I started to pick up the pace, everything felt great, then all of a sudden everything went dark! I don't remember being afriad of the dark but tonight I WAS. I started braking and trying to keep the course; I was going a bit fast and didn't want to upset the bike on one of the many bumps and sinkholes.
The second the bike came to a stop the damn headlight cam back on! The funny part is this time the highbeam circuit worked too. It hasn't worked since last year and I hadn't gotten around to fixing it- wasn't any point with those new headlights (no highbeam circuit so I plugged both into the one lead on the light). I've got some trouble shooting for tomorrow. Ride safe!
