Thanks for keeping us informed.
I was offered a test ride once one of the local shops gets their edition on the floor. I'm looking forward to it. I might just pen a wee testimonial myself. :D

Flying south with swft… view of Mount Ranier

swft, extremelean and redelk at the airport

Inside KMC checking out the 10Rs we’re going to ride

Turboblew’s “all knowing” ZX10R website in use at KMC

not sure what kbryant is doing to XL here ….

Note XL bringing my 10R out… Same loading door as the famous “spyphoto” from last spring

We stop at the Lookout …

discussing the merits of the 10R

one happy man!

the discussion continues…

..next stop..

.. the weather starts to turn..

a couple of green 10rs…. Nice!

now we are cold and wet! 4000’ elevation…

we stop to warm up… kbryant is now regretting refusing the rain gear.. perf’d leathers no good in wet! :D

..after a 3 hours hell-ride in a downpour we arrive at KMC.. soaked!

a very very very wet and cold kbryant :D

swft and redelk soaked!

a scorned redelk lambastes us about lane splitting.. .they don’t have that back in ar-keeen-sawzzz :D (he need’s a smoke!

XL….

if this isn’t a blackmail photo, I don’t know what is :D

.. hmmm..

day 2…. Bitch…

a dry redelk looks for “secret” info in the 10r’s service manual

getting ready for ride # 2… BTW it’s sunny out this time!

redelk head’s home and is replaced by worm~hole

off to cook’s corner

here we are…

redelk would’ve felt right at home here…

we trade the 10r’s for a pair of Vulcan 2000s and a Meanstreak…

worm~hole loves this! Makes him feel “tough”

worm~hole and xl take us back to the airport

and finally, what self respecting bikeland member WOULDN’T drive a nitrous powered car to work? :D

Here’s a little mpeg to look at….. http://www3.telus.net/fishantlers/zx10r/MOV00627.MPG

Bike is flawless... we rode production versions (different from the Daytona bikes the journo's got).. gearbox was perfect... as was pretty much everything else... very very hard to find fault with this bike... you'd be nit picking if you tried.

Good to hear, after reading about the initial problems with the transmission on the pre-production models. :thumbup
Did you find the short wheelbase and lack of steering damper to be of any problem on non-track surfaces?

I'm lookin' forward to reading your impressions on this one. Especially since I'm too much of a wuss and an OLD wuss at that to actually buy one. At least I can live vicariously through folks like you... :D

And thanks for sharing via this and the other thread.
