Many of you will not care, but I just have to share. Two weeks ago I arranged to pick up my first bike (a zx7) on Monday the 8th. Well it wasn't looking too good all week as it was supposed to rain. Well I wake up today and alas the sun is smiling at me. I go grab the bike. So fucking happy. Bring it to my buddy's house and take her out for a spin.
15 minutes into the ride I get pulled over on Hastings for going over the limit. I was doing at least 30 over (3 completely empty lanes in front of me). Not really too sure. Bike cop pulls me over, sitting by the PNE with a gun. I tell him its my very first day with the bike and he tells me I should have taken a course. I flash my Action card and my best "sorry I fucked up" smile and I get let off with a warning. Amazing. I've never gotten off with a warning before. The rest of the day was awsome. Took Marine Dr. to Horseshoe Bay, rode all over North Van, Burnaby and Downtown. My ass is still sore as we speak, but my day couldn't have turned out better. Thanks Action for pretty much getting me out of a ticket as well as the great skills I learned at the school. Thanks Pat for the bike (I love her... she's so good to me) and thanks to all the riders that waved.
