How much more secure is the bike fitted with alarm system?
did anyone ever had their bike stolen despite the alarm system?
For those that have alarms fitted, how often does it go off?
If somebody wants your bike, an alarm won't make much difference. Where you park it makes a much bigger contribution to theft prevention. If you're on a street in East Van, it's a gonner, but if you're parking in a garage in the British Properties, you could leave the keys in it and not worry. Based on those two ends of the theft probability scale, an alarm won't change the probability much anyway.
Not much use IMO, it's so quick to lift a bike and go.
Also, no one really gives a hoot when they hear an alarm go off anymore.
ya but if it's loud enough and it has all that engine kill shiyat... it's a pain in the ass... I think thiefs would look elsewhere.
It's not for sure... but every bit helps.
that said, it does stop people from touching your ride.
.... more than once lol
