Okay so here is what happened. First of all, the bike is a 1999 GSXR750, the fuel injected model. I have only had it for a while so I dont know much of its history. Either way this is what happened today when I was riding it.
I was riding along, (Choke obviously off), in 2nd Gear. Suddenly, at 4,000RPM the bike begins to sputter like there isnt enough fuel or something, so I was like wtf, and was hoping it would fix itself. It didnt, it suddenly just sputter and as I tried to give it more gas, the rpms dropped to 0 and the bike shut off while Im now coasting with the clutch in.
So, I am still coasting, clutch in and I hit the starter, the bike starter turns, but the bike wont turn on.
I pull over to the side, and try to start it a couple of times more with no avail.
Finally, I pulled the choke fully, and hit the starter.
The bike DID start, but it did not accelerate smoothly at all. In every gear it would sputter as if it was about to die out, the Rpms would also fluctuate randomly but mostly they would drop.
The bike felt like it would throw me off when it was sputtering in 2nd geat at 4,000rpm.
So I rode with the choke on the 10 km home, and then bike rode like shit, but at least its at home now. IT starts IF i hit the choke, but the minute I turn the choke off, the bike dies.
PLEASE, If anyone has any ideas what the problem is let me know.
IF you need to know anything extra please let me know.
Finally, does anyone know if there is a problem with riding with the choke on?
Thank you very much.
