My experience last night inspired this particular poll.
I was coming back from Naniamo on the 10:30pm ferry, and I arrived in Tsawwassen around 1am. My reserve light had been on when I left for the ferry earlier the previous afternoon, but I was running late and HAD to meet my lacrosse team in order to make the trip over to the Island.
Anyway, I went down the main strip in Tsawwassen and there were 6 gas stations, but NONE were open! So my only choice was to try and get to Ladner, but the bike started surging shortly after getting on to #17 and stalled seconds later. Bikes are easy to push, even with all my gear strapped to my back, but it was still a LONG time before I got gas.
45 minutes! It would have been longer, but when I was about 6 blocks from a gas station one of my teammates saw me on the side of the road and drove to the Esso to get me a couple litres.
So has it happened to anyone else or am I the only idiot?
