I'll start with "yes, I searched". Most of the threads were either old and about old gear or not particularly helpful. Now, to the point:
I sweat. I always have, I probably always will. When I slip into my textiles, I'm usually starting to sweat by the time I get my disc lock off. My leathers? Well, hell, probably by the time I get the jacket done up (they're still a tad tight). In short, I'm mildly dreading the surely hot summer to come.
Anyhow, I have a few questions, mostly brand specific, but am willing to branch out:
I've looked at most of the "common" brands, ie. JR, Alpinestars, Teknic, Icon, and Dainese online. The conclusions that I've come to are that the JR gear is near useless, the Teknic probably isn't far off, and the rest is a mystery to me.
One set of questions to all of the following:
How's the protection? How's the feel/comfort? Cost in Canada? Who carries it? Does anyone have experience with any of them?
1. Alpinestars - I find myself attracted to the T-Stunt Airflow - red, in particular. Also, how are the pants? They look relatively lacking in protection.
2. Icon - While I don't like the jacket as much as the AS T-Stunt due to the single solid colour scheme, the pants look a little more interesting.
3. Dainese I haven't looked at in much detail because their website is more hassle than it's worth to navigate most of the time. Also, I saw a picture of one of the jackets and it looked a little too snug for my "comfortable" frame.
Thoughts or advice?
