It's Time to Strip!
Strip those ugly decals and crap off my new motorcycle helmet and repaint it.
The decals are clear coated in and i have absolutely no painting experience but would like to try this myself. I had planned on using a razor blade to cut out the decals then sanding it. The helmet is already black and i want to keep it that way, was gonna try this with just spray cans.
I also do alot of artwork and was thinking of adding some custom stuff to the back and clear coating it all after.
Is this gonna look like a big mess or has anyone had success with this?
Anyone with some painting advice please lemme know
Don't do it! Your helmet's shell is an integral part of its ability to absorb an impact, what you are suggesting could easily damage this.
Why don't you sell your helmet and buy a plain one instead?
seems like it would be a pretty ugly mess, but then again I aint no artist
This is the 4th helmet i own, and im not buying anymore

I had planned on just sanding off the clear coat and cutting out the decals is this potentially damaging to the helmet?
Maybe i'll just practice spray painting over one of my other helmets lol
