    After Market Exhaust

I was going to put this one in tech & mods, but after thinking about it, I think it more deserves to be in the newbie section. Anyways, I was considering buying a exhuast off a fellow member of this board but after inspecting my current stock exhuast, I realized it was welded on at a points along its lengther. (Differing from the 3 bolt design on the exhaust of my interest) Does that mean to get a new exhuast I would have to chop the current pipe somehwere and weld on a new one, or am I somehow not able to see the 3-bolts pattern that the seller is refering to?

You're best off getting a pipe that was made specifically for your bike. Slip-ons for other bikes may fit, but it can be a PITA to get them to fit properly.

if it's not made for your bike then you'll have a problem fitting it. Save yourself the hassle and buy a specific one. I think you'll need a new midpipe as well.
