"Lax helmet law thwarts motorcycle safety"
Craig McInnes reviews the BCCOM MLA ride and points out that the MC safety organization lobbys for weak helmet laws.
"It's kind of frustrating because you see a guy riding a motorcycle and beside him is a guy on a bicycle who has better head protection" VPD officer says.
My Bell bicycle helmet is better engineered and designed than all the converted fruit bowls and BC Beenies out there. If beenies are legal, why can't I wear my bicycle helmet? (not that I would)
Most people here class their helmets as important as boots or gloves so there is no point in a poll. I expect everybody would support a DOT minimum for street legal helmets but does anybody think otherwise?
