So It was demo days at SG power today (island bike store) anyways I was signed up to try a 636 and my dad was going to try a 1600 cruiser. He ended up not wanting to because he had some serious knee surgery which I forgot about when I signed us up and he had not been on a bike for about 8 months.
Anyways I got a nice green 636 with 4.5km's on it
So we went and filled up with gas, it was the first ride of the day, and rode around. The leader took the 4 of us on a pritty good route, nice windy roads and some highway.
So on the way back we were on the highway and the amber lights started to flash, the leader didnt see it and when though the yellow. We all stoped, I was in the front with some guy on a KLR and another 2 ppl behind me, one of them was like "LETS GIVER MAN." Anyways I couldnt wait to just open it up for a sec. I looked around for cops, I saw a white car behind us but could not see what kind it was becuase of the other 2 bikes behind me.
The light went green, I fucking flew off, ripping until about 190, I noticed the bike has a built in shit light when I looked down to see how fast I was going, what rpm does that go on at?
Anyways so we all pull up to the next intersection where its a red light. And guess who pulls up beside us. A cop, in the white car, he was on the phone and motioned to slow down. The funny thing is I didnt see any of that, and when we got back to SG the other rider was like dam man i cant believe how lucky we were. I was like why?
He said the cop he was right behind us at that light.
I was just kept thinking how lucky we were because I flew off the line and the guy on the KLR did the same, I guess the cops radar couldnt shoot though the other bikes. Anyways I guess he knew what was going on because this weekend other shops were doing the same thing.
Well I liked the 636 it was very smooth, i think thats mainly the FI compared to my R6 but other than that it felt pritty much the same (mines louder )
Well I really wanted to check out a R6 but that was on thursday, I might try a suzuki in 2 weeks when they come. Anyways have fun riding and lets hope we all have more luck like that
