Ducati has now confirmed that Troy Bayliss will race their new V4 GP bike next season. As if that wasn't obvious already. He will take either Ben Bostrom or Rubens Xaus as his teammate. I would say probably Bostrom. The factory WSB team will consist of whoever is left over between those two and Neil Hodgson from GSE Ducati. Apparently they will ride a new bike called the 999. It will have a newly designed sleaker fairing and a double sided swingarm. I guess this means that Ducati's production V-Twin sportbike line (998/748) will be most likely changed as well due to the FIM's/WSB homologation rules. I've been wondering how long it would be before we saw a new look Ducati sportbike. I guess next year is should be it. MotoGP should be much more interesting next year with the addition of Ducati, Kawasaki and BMW(most likely). Plus the fact that all of the other teams will be more experienced. I like Honda, but I'd like to see them get challenged more closely by their rivals.
