The advice I always got on breaking in leather from my old man was: Get it wet and wear it till it's dry. Not sure it that will work for you but I thought I'd mention it.

Another list said rubbing alcohol would help stretch them.

imo, you should not use water nor alcohol on the leather. It might work but will dry out the leather. Go to a shoe store and ask them. I believe you can get bottles of shoe stretch which is used to help make leather more pliable to stretch. Can't say I've tried it but doesn't hurt to ask the shoe store.

I think I might tie some string on em and drop them in the toilet for a few flush's and and wear em to bed !! They should fit perfect by morning!!

Now just how do I get rid of the smell???

buy them to fit properly and you wont need them to stretch
my second set of leathers streched, but i wore them for 22k km, in the freezing cold/rain/.baking hot/hail/etc. plus i wore them a lot when i was off the bike, wrenching and stuff. my new set hasnt streched at all yet.
i dont think leathers really do stretch anyway, you dont se a lot of cows with a huge excess of skin, i think it just gets more suptle after time. when my suit started stretching , the seams were comming apart.
