Ok, I know there's posts in the race forum but I feel it's important to put a post in the forum with more traffic.
Here goes.....There's an open track day at Mission coming up on July 15th. 'Open' Meaning minimal bike prep and open to people WITHOUT a race license. The cost is $200 and with a limit on the number of pre-registered riders allowed you're gauranteed enough track time to send you home exhausted. With everything factored in, it's about the same or a bit less than going down to the states and you get to support a local track and spend less time driving.
For those that don't know, Mission is a tight, technical track and I would hazard to guess a repectible lap time for most people to be in the 1:20-30 range-9 turns with a 200km/hr+ straightaway. It's FUN. There's a bit of everything there.
With the success of 5th Gear Motorsport's Boundary Bay track sessions, I can see a renewing interest in racing down here.
However, last I've seen, only one person has pre-registered. This will NOT go if more people do not jump at this chance. If it doesn't that's a chance lost for people to enjoy this track without the commitment of a race lisence and it might not happen again. If you're interested, do it, and do it fast. If you know others that might be, spread the word.
REGISTRATION DUE JUNE 15TH. CONTACT ANY (gixxer160) OR BIEU (digi168)-YOU CAN REGISTER WITH BIEU AT PACIFIC YAMAHA IN RICHMOND
