Riding on Granville towards DT, full rain gear in the rain
I ridin Granville towards DT quite often and riding in the rain is not uncommon for me (i enjoy it acutally).
Known facts of Granville
3 lanes on Granville, left lane are full w/ people trying to turn left, right lane are full of drivers cruising at high speeds on bumpy roads.
I was in the center lane and i know the car on the left is going to dash out on my right ANYTIME when s/he sees the car in the front makes a left turn.
I know the car on the RIGHT (fucken courtsey car) is going to squeeze into the middle lane once he sees a parked car on the right lane.
I was an accident BOUND to happen. I was cruising at an moderate speed passing 49th... nothign happened.
after passing 41, it happened JUST as I was preparing for it from the start.
the guy in the courtsey car didn't even signal or shoulder check and merged into my lane. I BLASTED my fucken horn. ( i am quite had used to this now since these incidentes happens to me every time i ride at night)
That guy was just shocked and backed away...
(you MIGHT think the guy driving a courtsey car might be smart enought to drive carefully eh? )
anyway, this is the stuff that you learn in riding school, to be careful, to learn from other's mistakes.... For all you newbies out there who doesnt' want to spend money on schooling, i just can't can't even emphasize it enough to do it the right way.
and for the rest of you who never ride in the rain or at night. ONE of these days from your long ass ride, the rain is giong to get to you and one day u will have to ride in the rain. so dont' be a scare little prick and just ride in the rain and ride at night so you don't get scared..
peace & ride safe
