i have an 89 ninja 250 to get running, i put it together, charged the battery, and it flashed right up, ran perfectly for like 20 km, then i stopped at a gas station to put fuel in.
afterwards when i went to start it, it would just crank, occasionally catch, but not start. after 2-3 attempts a lot of fuel started to dump out the carb overflow hose( i believe its overflow) i let it sit for 4 days and i tried to start it, same problem, cranks, fuel dumps.
anyone have any idea what this is? and how to fix it?
my guess at it is the carbs need to be adjusted.
so my second question is, how many turnes should which needles/screws be set, and which needles should be used (to be sure the right ones are in there)
i took the carbs apart today for a quick look, they are perfectly clean, and the needles look new, no wear, the slides move freely, and the floats appear to be in fine state .
