Anyone ever used one of these....I want to be able to drink water when I ride and I was told that they are good. Any opinoins on these and what kind of $$ do these go for?
Camelbacks are sweeeet in my opinion, I take one on longer rides. The mouthpiece doesn't fit in my mouth while wearing a full face helmet, but I can tilt it up a bit at stops and it works. I use it just to take water in a convenient carrier (I hardly notice it while wearing it). Other non-name brand ones (i.e. Mountain Equipment Coop has some) have different mouthpieces, they might work.
Price... varies. I think you can get one for $30, and up well over $100 for packs that are really small backpacks (extra storage etc.).
Yup, MEC is the place to go. Their knock-off drink packs are much cheaper than camelbacks. I have one from long ago, and they're great on long summer rides. I have no problem fitting in under my full face (from the bottom up). I pack some ice cubes in the bottom of the pack, and then fill it up with Gatorade, and away I go.

i like it cause it's slim line. i only use it for full day rides. i fill half way with water the night before and stick it in the freezer. just make sure to use the cap off a 2l bottle to plug up the end. then fill it ip the rest of the way before heading out. keeps it nice and cold all day. i never have aproblem using it with my full face lid. just takes a bit getting used too. although once pulling it out of my lid, the bite valve came off while riding and i ended up getting soaked. no biggie on those hot days though. hydration does wonders while on long rides.
rain? whats that!
I have one but I find it of little use for longer rides......probably good for hot rides around the city.
On the highway, I have to stop pretty much every hour for
-get ass off seat
so I usually get my liquids then.
