I've been doing a considerable amount of research in the last few days and I've started out with what sport bikes are the most suitable as beginner bikes and I've conducted a list that includes these machines:
- 2003/2004 Kawasaki ZZR-250
- 2003/2004 Kawasaki 500R (or an older EX500 if it's right)
- 2003/2004 Suzuki GS500F
- 2003/2004 Suzuki SV650S
Naturally if one of these bikes happends to be from the 90's and is in immaculate condition and looks good then it would be a heavy consideration. As said, at the moment my thoughts are to lease a bike and I've been reading as much on this site as there is to offer, so I've been through the Article section and read some important and valuable things and I have taken the advice close to heart.. thus why I picked these bikes in particular, because they are the highest recommended, lowest powered sport bikes.
So, opinions on these choices? What about playing it safe and going with the 250 and keeping it for a season/year and then next season trading it in for a 500cc or 600cc bike, or maybe the 250 will be a keeper. My only thought with the 250 is in a year it may not seem powerful enough, yet I've read it can out perform some good sport cars and that sounds like more than enough power.
