I have purchased a Haynes manual and am going to change my own chain and sprockets on Thursday on my 97 GSXR600. I am getting abit of mixed info from it. To remove the drive chain alone, the manual tells me to remove the swingarm itself. However when I read the section on removing and changing the sprockets, it says that I can pull both sprockets and chain off by just removing the rear tire and other miscellaneous small bits. Which is correct? Also, if I have to remove the swingarm, it says I need a special tool to unscrew the locknut on the swingarm... Any advice ir help is appreciated, and if I need to pull the swingarm off, if someone could lend me said tool would be a great man/woman indeed!
