i need some advice here.
approx two months ago i got hit with excessive speed and failure to display N. $592 fine for both.
this was my first ticket in a just over a two year period (26 months or so).
i recieved a letter about a month ago stating they want to suspend my licsense for a month. i sent them a letter stating why i thought my fine was punishment enough. they declined and a few days ago, they took away my licsense.
according to their documention/record i have a "dangerous driving record" or something along those lines.
this is the part i dont like. the N laws have changed, and apparently it takes two years to get to your class 5. so i will be starting from scratch with the N. and apparently any tickets during this period will result in another suspension and back to square one.
what on earth can i do to not have to wait two years??
i didnt dispute the ticket because i couldnt.. i was working 3 part time jobs trying to pay for this fine (lame excuse, but thats the reason)..
i also thought that i can have 6 points with my N.. and i just looked in an ICBC brochure and exessive is 3 points.. failure to display n is no points (as far as i know). 3+ 0 = 3...
i also checked my ticket and he gave me the max allowed fine for exessive (forget the exact amount)..
i have no qualms about the speeding ticket and paying the fine.. but having my licsense suspending and being set back to square one.. i dont like that one bit!
so what can i do.. i need some advice!
thanks guys, i appreciate it
