On a recent BCSB group ride to Pemberton, the rider on the tail bike brought something to my attention that I thought was just my imagination. My baby was backfiring, badly. So, being only a couple of months in my possession and still under warranty, in to the shop she went. Long, long story short, the symptoms have progressed to the point where the bike is unrideable (dangerously) and it's now the THIRD time that the dealershop has had it in their possession. Stopped by today to ask after it and was told that I had one cylinder that wasn't firing at all. (Temp check on individual cylinders)
So, my bike has possibly had 1500km on it with one cylinder out of the loop. In the beginning of next week I'll be down at the other dealerships talking to other reps about this. Common sense says that I should shoot for a complete tear down of the engine, how hard should I push this?
