Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong...not this time.
I'm just about to leave work, and Candychikita says, "hey, be carefull. I had a bad dream about u crashing."
I say, I'm gonna take it easy as the back tire isn't looking like it's capable of running a tt style race down broadway. I suit up, Say goodbye to my co-workers in usual fashion....insulting them in front of his cousin...usual, expected behavior. Not having a comeback, he swings around and does a phatom kick in my direction....except the phatom was eyeing my pretty shoei helmet....BANG!.
Helmet's got a bruise, I'm gonna have to get it xrayed to make sure, I think I feel a soft spot where he kicked it. So now I'm worried about riding home, with an iffy helment and amy's warning, I stop before getting on my bike. I'm not sure who I talked to, bike, or whatever, but I said, "Please let me get home safe"
Hit the road, speed limit for once...honest, and a blue mazda goes to pass me on my right (im in the left lane), and has to slam on the brakes to avoid all the cars stopped at the red light, whew, made it through that one. Past the light, not even a block away from work, and an idiot in a sunfire darts out in front of me to do a uturn. (in 6:00 o'clock broadway traffic...like thats gonna work you halfwit.)
Emergency breaking, just barely missed writing off my bike, and possibly injuring my full gear wearing ass in the process. If I had been 1 second ahead of that, chances are I may not be writing this right now. Pretty much the time it would take to say out loud, "Please let me get home safe"..is all I needed to save myself, and my bike
thanks for reading, ride safe everyone, you never know what the idiot cagers are going to surprise you with.
Thank you for the warning Amy, I owe you one
