    Best ride to Edmonton?

I'm a new rider who was thinking about a ride to Edmonton later this summer. Any suggestions on roads I definately should/should not take while en-route? I'd much rather the trip be scenic/fun to ride than quick, so it's ok if it's a little out-of-the-way.
On another note, as a new rider and member of BCSB, I'd like to say what a great community of riders this is, and I look forward to meeting and riding with you!

The best scenic route would be a follows:

Take Hwy1 to Hope then take Hwy 3 (Crowsnest Hwy) all the way to Cranbrook. North to Kimerley on Hwy 93/95 continue up to Lake Louise taking Hwy 93 (93/95 junction at Radium Hot Springs). North to Jasper on Hwy 93 then head east on Hwy 16, the YellowHead highway. On a motorcycle, this route will take you three days. Now, you could do it in one day but you will be exteremly tired.
