lots of posts lately with tragedies, excessive tickets, expensive get-offs and on & on. Is it the sportbikes or the riders? Are sportbikes only fun when they are cranked ? What is the answer ? more education ? more maturity ? slower sportbikes ? who knows ?
But ......... for those re-thinking the sport or motorcycling, consider the following. Adventure bikes go where sportbikes can't and they offer decent performance where sportbikes can go. They lack the top end speed and razor sharp handling of sportbikes but offer real world useable torque and comfortable controllable ergonomics.
just took a 2 day ride east of vancouver - 855km - 40% off road & some of the paved roads were AWESOME with no police and minimal traffic. Did we have a hoot - ABSOLUTELY.
wish I knew how to size the pics better for this site so I will post one and show the link to the advrider site.
if the link doesn't work go to advrider.com > ride reports > bc backroads sampler
see what adventure bikes can do -
