I am thinking about Montana and the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park August long weekend weather permitting. Probably gonna be very hot and dry but I will need to do a check on forest fire situation.
Tentative route is WA hwy 20 to Idaho in the first day. Day 2 will be a looky loo ride thru Glacier National Park and over the Going to the Sun Road then North West thru Waterton Lakes Alberta. From then on the route home is still open.
Another possible route is to blast down to the Palouse area to hit Lolo Pass by day 2 then loop up to Glacier National Park thru big sky country. Actually Lolo Pass seems like a better option.
Who's with me?
