OK~ This is NOT FUN at all.
Since 2 days ago, the bike won't start in the morning. So I jump-start the bike with our mini-van. After riding for half hour, and turn it off, the bike will start but takes time (need to push the Start bottom servural times).
Yesterday morning, the bike won't start as I predicted. So I jump start the bike. Our Mini Van was parked beside, so I jump start the bike with the mini-van. It worked. So I go to work with my bike.... After work, the bike won't start (oh well...). I am sure it's the battery's problem. So my dad came to rescue me with the Van and Jump-started it.
After half hour or riding, turn the bike off, and it won't start again. So I ask my friend to push-start for me, it worked. I rode the bike for a good 1 hour HWY riding... hoping it would charge the battery. Got home park it, and disconnect the battery from the bike.
THIS morning... the bike won't start again. Lights, high-beam, low-bean, turn single, electrical works just fine. Once again, I jump start it .... and now it won't start. I push-start it with my dad, it won't start. Currently, when I tried to push-start the bike, the wheel locks. Push the start bottom and I can hear a little whinning sound... like a little RC car's motor. I am sure the battery is dead or something...
I took the battery to Canadian Tire, and have them check it for me, they said the battery is ok, just needs to be charged.
So I brought a battery charger, 10/2 A - 12V Automatic charger, and charged my battery for 1 hour with 2A - 12 V setting. Put the battery back into my bike and same thing... won't start at all. Just a RC Car motor sound.
I also brought a brand new battery, and currently chargeing it overnight, and see if my bike would start tomorrow monring with the new battery.
My bike is 99 Katana 750, all stock, no mods.
I am hoping that 1) The old battery is not good, 2) a blown fuse; and NO problem with the starter.
Any help or advice, thanks.
