So i was down at Western Powersports in Langley on Friday and the techs wheel out this beautiful Yamaha R1 with a custom Flame paint job and crome all over it....The bike had over 60 hours of work on it. The owner had just begun to get his $2000 cash out to pay for the engine work when a friend of his rode in on a harley. Being a nice guy i guess, he lets the harley rider take the bike around the block. The bike doesnt even travel more that 30ft and it is low sided. Turns out it had fresh tires just put on and when the rider turned the corner he just wacked open the throttle and sent the bike and himself into some sort of wanna-be olympic spin. he pretty much wrote the bike off, but he wasnt hurt. Theres no really rant or message here i just though it was rather funny and this story needed sharing....I mean the guy put over $10,000 in custom work on his bike and he never even got to ride it......and if your wondering his response to the accident, he pretty much just shrugged his shoulders. I guess all he has to do is call daddy and ask for another cash advance. Must be nice.
