Jonesboy, you're the most useful guy around. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Sorry, I don't have a litre bike comparo to add...best one I read was in Roadracing World. I did a search on their website, but I guess they don'th ave it posted online because I couldn't find it.

...I thought it did justice to all of RyanB's posts in the newbie forums where he'd reply "don't buy a 250" "250s are for pussies" etc. to all of the "what should I buy to learn on" threads.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, after all.

..that's because you don't pay any attention to the board anymore. She feels neglected. She came over last night, you know, wanting to talk - it didn't go any further than that, but she wanted it, man.

You'd better give her some lovin', boy, or you're gonna lose her. She's too good for you.

That's because every 5th post I seem to make someone angry, or get angry at someone, or make someone angry at someone else...you know how it goes.

Is it my fault that there are so many stupid people that know how to use the internet? Don't they know I'm smarter than them?

BTW - I think that everyone who enters motorcycling that doesn't have a significant dirtbiking background should start on something smaller than a 600. And 250s are great, don't knock 'em 'till you've tried 'em. When I had a Ninja 250 (at the same time I had a ZX-6R), I had just as much fun on the street on the 250 as I did on the 600. At the track it would be another story (unless you had a friend also on a 250 to duke it out with), but as a new rider there's no where to use the power of a 600 on the street.

And with the lower insurance cost, lower purchase price, lower depreciation rate (if it's > 5yrs old) and gentler learning curve...I can't see why you WOULDN'T recommend a 250 to a new rider.

Who the fuck bastardized this thread?

If someone is asking opinions, you better believe I'm gonna give one. But since you replied to my request for an article, with an unsolicited opinion, please allow me to reply to your post with an unsolicited opinion of my own: I think you need to spend less time being a self righteous *expletive* and allow others to have their owns opinions, solicited or otherwise.

To all that posted links: Thankyou kindly.
