The forecast is getting worse instead of better.
I need Saturday to sell my condo and/or catch up on work.
I'm so addicted to my bike and this site I might as well be on crack.
So it's cold turkey time.
Sat Aug 7 2004, 6am, departing 6:15 SHARP. The weather forecast is not great at the moment, let's wait and see how it shapes up.
S2S, Lillooet, Lytton, Spences Bridge, Merritt, Logan Lake, Cache Creek, Lillooet, S2S. DH's all the way, 1000+ kms. Thoughts on reversing the direction, ppl? I'm thinking that the DQ in Cache Creek is a good stop for lunch, other than that I really don't have a preference.
Cuz I might have to sell The Bus soon ... very soon. *sniff*
The Pony Espresso, Pemberton (tried the Logger's Breakfast Burrito? Yum!). This one's non-negotiable so that any late-comers can catch us here.
Quick enough to cover 1000+ twisty kms with frequent relaxed stops and still make it to Horseshoe Bay before sundown. Sorry, I won't even attempt to give numbers this time. Not like a bat-outta-hell, but not for the timid, either. I, personally, will not tell anyone that they cannot go, but I welcome any and all advice from the more experienced riders out there. Bottom line: I'm lookin' for very confident riders who can endure the grind, and who won't keep the fast guys waiting too long.
Know the next meeting point. Faster riders go first. If someone's on your tail, offer to let him by. Above all, respect the space of other riders. All ages welcome, mature attitudes only, please.
Ride within your limits. Yeah yeah, I know, I'm a broken record. But since there's no better way to fuk yourself up and ruin everyone's day, one more time, with feeling ... ride within your limits.
I expect to see all the same faces from The Other Reverse Loop, since y'all were whining about the trip being too short.
