Recently my bike (93 YZF 750) started making an off beat clunking sound when accelerating from 0 to about 20km/h. (sort of like: clunk, clunk......clunk.... clunk, clunk, clunk) After i get up to speed it goes away. Im sure its the engine because I coasted down a hill with the bike in neutral and it didnt make the sound. It seems that it is worse in traffic when the bike is hot. It feels like it is coming from the left hand side, bottom of the engine, right where the shift shaft goes into the engine. I can hear it as well as feel it through the foot pegs and it dosnt sound good. It runs fine, oil is good, and I just had the compression checked, carbs synked, and new plugs installed about 1000km's ago by Kelowna Yamaha. The tech said all was well. until a few days ago it started making this noise. Can anyone help me? I have the full factory service manual but the troubleshooting section dosnt list anything. Thanks a lot!
