I've had it! Never in my life have I experienced such dismal product knowledge and shitty customer service as with our lower mainland shops.
Being a mod junkie, there were a number of things I wanted to change on the new RC. Try getting advice on exhausts, frame sliders, Power Commanders, leathers, custome seats, hell ....ANYTHING! First, they don't know anything, and second they don't stock anything except oil and filters. This is a joke!
Call one of them and all you get is:
(1) hold music on infinitum, and
(2) an employee that's impatient as hell 'cause you aren't looking to buy anything less than a $3000 Akro full system.
Need advice? Forget it
You placed an order and they have no idea how long it will take, so you ask them to call you when it lands and what do they say? "Sorry, we're too busy to call customers, you'll just have to keep calling us back EVERY FREAKIN' DAY for the next month"
Believe me when I say that I even asked the dealership what time and day of the week is the least busy time for them, so I could get some decent customer service. Even then, it was painfull as Hell!
Having been a business person for 17 years, having sold Dealership Computer Systems for 5 years, consulted Parts Departments on how best to manage their inventories and improve their Customer Satisfaction, I think this market in Vancouver is a joke.
Screw 'em all, I'm buying everything I can on-line (which I have, and saved a bundle to boot).
After I'm done mod'ing this RC out, I'm looking for a Partner to open a nice big motorcycle accessory store where you can find, the size. color, and brand of product you want. Where the sales people know their stuff, will stay in touch with you by email (what a concept eh?), a service bay to do some "while you wait" work, and a cafe where we can all hang out and talk shop.
