I have read a few of the carb tuning threads that I could find and they haven't answered my question. I have '97 Gixxer 600 that has a full exhaust and is jetted. I had the carbs cleaned and now it will not pull hard on the top end. According to everything I have read here that means it's likely a little rich. But I also read that with Dynojet jet kits (I don't know what brand I have) that you need to block the main air jet for their jet kit to work. My question is - if the main air jet was blocked but is now open would it cause a really soft top end as well? And why would they say to block the main jet in the first place?
