Yes please! Oh! That wasn't a question?
This county is so ban-happy it's not even funny.

I'm not telling, but Atom isn't allowed near it.
If the firearms laws in this country have taught us anything, it's that the people who feel these little machine should not be banned need to step up en mass and speak out, Now.

Damn, now I'd have to think twice about taking it around my neighbourhood... when I got mine, very few people had 'em so cops didn't care if I rode it on the side streets... now they'd probably stop me.

Yup, yup, yup. I think that if you're being responsible with them, wearing gear, and being supervised (if it's a kid riding it) then it's not a big deal. While watching the report on the news, they said that people are making noise complaints about them, more often than anything else. I say.... BOO FRIGGIDY HOO! If it's a bit of noise during the day, deal with it. However, I can understand them being pissed about people taking them on public roads, cause it's kinda stupid. You're just asking to get shmucked.
Canada may be ban-happy, but at least we're not as bad as the US

Yeah right. I think it's just another busy body piping up because it's part of their job to do just that. I don't see a ban happening......even with the misuse. No more dangerous than XR50's and lots of others in the wrong place and time.

This discussion is all academic anyway. They cannot be legally licenced in Canada because the Fed govt has to inspect and approve every vehicle imported for road use in Canada. They use the same safety standrads for pocket bikes that they would use for your RC or Gixxer. No approval = no sticker- no sticker = no ride on roadways. If you really think the $500 pocketbike is of the same quality as your normal ride, then boy do I have some waterfront property in Florida to sell you right now.
Fun for riding on private property, but like your go-kart...not for use on any highway...and that includes parking lots, side streets etc.
