Quick question on Fuel Consumption on a 2000 R6.
I have noticed that lately I'm getting less mileage for the same amount of gas. I use to get about 190-200km's out of a tank of gas whereas now I'm getting about 170-180km's out of the same amount of fuel. The only changes that I've made to the bike in the last little while have been:
a) Swapping out the back tire for a semi-used Metzler race/street tire. (Thanks to KatRider for that Saved a poor student some money)
b) Tune-up,Oil change and carb cleaning at 5th Gear.
It looks like Bill and the boyz might have left the idle running a tad higher than previous but not by much. It's currently looks like it's running betwen 1300-1500 rpm's rather than the previous 1200-1300 rpm's that it was running before.
I'm not a super agressive rider and I don't think that I've been riding the bike any harder than I did previously so my question would be:
What might be the reason in the reduction of my fuel consumption rate?
Thanks for the answers in advance.
