Wink Where were all the sportbikes??

Drove up to 100 Mile House this weekend.( We were in the car, two people two sets of golf clubs two bags, what can I say???)

Here is the breakdown of the bikes we saw:

    85% Harleys loaded for travel
    10% BMWs loaded for travel
    5% Others

The only time we saw sportbikes was between Squamish and Van. (go figure)

    Are you Harley haters listening??

    trolling, trolling, trolling,

I went to Nakusp a couple of weekends back and most of the bikes on the road were harleys but there were others. I'd guess that lot's were euro-tourists who rent them to live out some media fueled fantasy and if they rode there, well kudo's to them. You're right though, pitty most sport bikes only go as far as sport bike west.
So what... golf bags too big for the pick up truck of the bike world?

Okay so I was fishin' a little, but I was amazed at the number of Harleys that were on the road travelling. I did see some from the US. Looked like a number of them were on the way to Alaska.

Even the GS would not carry what the wife brought with her on this trip. seems that once we were taking the car she went nuts.

As soon as you mention the wife, I now exactly what you mean. Sometimes a moving van isn't enough.
As for trolling, it was a good try but I doubt there will be many here who rise to the bait. Now the drags at Ashcroft are one of MY fave baits for trolling. Watching very expensive bikes go fast for a few seconds has a special fascination for some people.

There were about 30 enduro-type bikes (BMW GS and some KTMS etc.) heading north, north of 100 Mile House last week, Wednesday I think. Some sort of rally going on?

In 2 weeks of driving BC and camping, I think we saw less than 15 sportbikes, probably 100's of HDs, and this handful of enduros. All the dirt rodes we drove in the Westfalia made me want an adventure bike too...

I don't know if I'd ever ride my bike to 100 mile house in a day. My back would be aching, my butt would be totally sore, my left arm numb and left hand pale...nah...

Newusa, bluexx and myself, Houston to Kamloops via Little Fort on Saturday; Kamloops to Victoria via Hwy 5A, Lytton and Lilloett on Sunday in torrential rain.

What kind of newbie squid losers would enjoy riding that Vancouver to Whistler run? The little dorks don't go any further because we never saw any.

    Stunters I guess!

Preet and I went to Winthrop on Saturday. Almost all the bikes along the way were cruisers. I think I saw 3 sport bikes.
