    casual riding boots?

I'm still saving up money to buy a bike sometime next year, and since I need to buy some boots right now, I might as well try to get some that will work for my learning days of riding! I'm pretty much buying some heavyduty boots that are casual looking and also good for walking in snow (I'm going to university in Toronto and Ii'll have to walk to class in the snowy winters). Anyone know of certain types of boots that will both be fit for riding and also walking in snow comfortably? I only plan to wear these boots for the motorcycle course I'll take next year, before I buy a bike and high quality gear.

Try the Alpinestars Dryridge (I think that's what they're called). They are a casual, cordura and leather boot, with waterproof lining that will keep your feet dry. My husband bought a pair, and he's very happy with them.
