FIREMEN'S BURN CAMP RIDE IS FAST APPROACHING
Okay, heads up, this is important, and it's happening in 2 weeks, Sunday, Sept. 12, 8am, at The Flying Swan. All the details are here (www.vrombc.com), and I will get them up here very shortly (computer challenged). BUT, that doesn't mean crap without commitment. Details on volunteers required will be posted shortly, along with an email friendly poster to pass around. The first step is to write it on your calenders. The second is to commit, to say 'this is what I am doing, no matter what' that Sunday. The third is to show up, register, ride safe, and have a grand day, knowing you've helped out some very important people.
Since so many of us, myself included, have ventured into the hospital, we know a little about scars, burns, and rehabilitation. What if you were 5 or 7 when you went into surgery. It's easy for me to identify, I have been there a few times! So, rain or shine, I will be there. More important, I will beg/drag/bribe all my riding friends to join me.
Last year it was a lot of fun, as well as a lot of good karma.
And if you need one last kick, the prize booty will be grand as always. You know from my Daytona Party, I'm a persistent pest for a good cause ;-)
It isn't for me, it isn't for you, it's all about the kids. It doesn't matter who you are, or what kind of bike you ride, as long as you can show, and keep your cool for the day.
See you Sept 12th.
