1995 ZX6E with just over 9200 Miles showing on the odometer right now. (That number will rise...I am riding it as much as possible). I have had the bike since march of this year, bought it off a friend who had it stored in his garage for over 3 years. he was the second owner of the bike.
The guy I bought it from had attempted to switch from first to second gear while in a wheelie, and broke second gear. IT IS FIXED THOUGH. He fixed the tranny and freshened the engine while doing the tranny. This was done at a shop, not in his backyard. About a week after he did this, the bike went into storage until I bought it. He also replaced both sprockets and I think the chain.
I have done 3 oil changes on the bike since I bought it. I put on new tires, front and rear, (the rear tire picked up a nail after a week of being on the bike, it is plugged and doesn't seem to affect the way the bike handles) and an alarm system. It had a missing spark problem earlier in the year, so it also has a new ignition switch. It had a new battery at the beginning of the season as well.
There are no problems with the plastic, it is all in tact and lokks good. It is a strong running bike for the year, sounds better then my wifes 97 6E, (it sounds better then a few other E's around here as well).
I haven't ridden the crap out of the bike (take a look at my chicken strips and you can tell this is my first yeear riding a sportbike). I have had fun on it, but have also been careful with it. (both for my safety, and my wallets safety)
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with it, (That I am aware of) that I haven't mentioned already. It is really one of the nicer 6E's of it's year around.
I also have a suspension link kit (replaces the dogbones) for either lowering (or even raising) the bike. The kit is made by adjustment tech. I never put it on because you have to take off the center stand, and I don't have the facilities to suspend the bike for removing the centerstand. I am 5'7" and almost faltfoot the bike. It is VERY comfortable on longer rides. (Unlike a lot of sportbikes)
When I figure out how to post pics, I will post them up. (the pics I have are too large to be uploaded)
