Now THAT's appropriate for the times. But ... will it connect to my flame-thrower? Will it beep when I'm backing up? And can I have the proximity alarm ON when riding... to send tailgaters the message without interrupting my ride? And can I get one wif HOTSPOT detection so I know there's a Starbucks -or a Westin- ahead as I travel?

    I luv useful BLING

It's not the number of breaths you take but the moments that leave you breathless.

I'm still waiting for the unit that will deliver a 10,000 volt shock to anyone riding off on a stolen bike... the crotch area would do nicely.

This made me think of a story I heard about some high-school mechanics teacher that got in major shit for hooking up an ignition coil to a car battery with a throw-switch, connected to two closely spaced needle points sticking 0.5 mm out of the seat of a chair. Flicked it on some misbehaving student and the parents had a field day...could be BS but it sounds plausible.

Thanks Gurp. Although I liked the idea of killer pandas shredding theives to ratshit, I know people with nice bikes should do more than sit and wait to become another ICBC claim.

Big accident on the upper levels tonight. Incredibly, I actually heard it from my appartment and I live near Marine and Capilano. Sounded nasty.

Huge news. All the networks were here last night and the big bad paragon of amazing journalism: CBC Radio!!
