When I squeeze my front brake it stops and skips, it doesn't apply more pressure gradually, it sort of stops at a point and then I'll squeeze more and it will jump a ahead to a new point. This is proving to be extremly dangerous, because if I use my front break the way I normally would it will lock up because the break will go from somewhat tight to locked up without any transition.
I hope you guys can understand this explanation, it's sort of hard to describe, basically it doesn't move from no tention to lots of tention smoothly.
I can feel this even when I'm not moving, so it's not the brake pads, it either the cable isn't lubed well or what I think it is, the lever in the brake is not lubed.
A noticed on my buddies bike that the joint in his handle bar on his front brake has some kind of like greenish grease in there and mine is bone dry, so thats gotta be it.
Either way what can I use to lube the brake lever (in the handlebar)? WD40? Chain Lube?
