New boots+Wife following behind+Mountain bikers watching= Me laying down my bike at the stop sign. Result... sore ass, broken foot peg and bruise ego. Stop sign was uphill and I was turn left going down the hill.
I think what happened was I geared down to the stop light and thought I was in 1st when i was really in second. As I released the clutch and gased up the engine choked and the bike lurched and I lost balance.
The last time I rode my bike it was running perfectly. Then I ride with my new pair of boots and I can't feel the clutch as well I did wearing my Merrels.
Now, coincidence or not. My gearing will get stuck 2nd to 1st and from 5th-6th. I'm pulling the clutch lever and footing the gear shift and I can't get it to the next gear sometimes.
I checked the clutch adjustment and It has the recommended amount of freeplay. Could it be the boots not relaying the amount of feel that I had with just a pair of sneakers? I am lifting my foot hard as I can and nope. When I get pissed I try clutchless shifting and that seems to work okay. Any ideas what the hell is going on? BTW, I have a 02 f4i
