The last track event of the 2004 WMRC season is almost upon is. Sat Oct 2 and Sunday Oct 3 at Mission Raceway are the remaining rounds of the race season. This is always an exciting weekend as the racers are battling for points. Our Superbike championship is almost as close as WSBK.
We need volunteers mainly for corner working, but all extra hands are welcome. As usual, we do our morning training session and I put the newbies with more experienced workers.
We meet at the tables next to registration at 7:30 and do the waiver signing and corner assignments. We will need extra people as I want to man (or woman) turn 9. Please, do not wear red or yellow clothing. Long pants are required as are shoes. We are seeing to the racer's safety, but can't neglect our own. Bring a chair and a hat, we will supply water and lunch.
I have been talking to the corner marshal organizers for MotoGP at Laguna Seca for 2005, seeing how many of our people they can use. It would be great to have a group go there to work, but for that you really need to have experience. At Mission, we marshal to world class standards, so experience there counts.
