I read Rioghans thread and mine sounds a little different.
My zx7 sounds fine in the high rpms, but down in 1-3000 rpm it hesitates when you just have the throttle cracked open. Even when crusing at a steady 4500 rpm if you have the throttle just cracked open you can tell its sort of hesitating, as soon as I open the throttle up more its fine and has no problem going right up to the rev limiter and back down again with no backfiring or anything. It just seems to hesitate when I'm just taking off from stopping, I have to open it up a lot more to get it to go.
This hesitation DOESN"T happen all the time though, its fine one day, then hesitating the next.
I've changed the air filter and spark plugs. When I took out the old plugs, they looked fine.
Should I change the fuel filter and spark plug wires as well, or would my problem be with the throttle cable sticking a bit or with the carbs sticking.
I've used the carb combustion chamber spray crap and it didn't seem to help any.
The bike ran fine all summer til it started doing this one day, (it was like someone turned a light off), I thought it was just a piece of crap in the gas but I've only used the good shit in it.
The carbs have never been jetted or taken apart for a cleaning, what parts should I be changing in the carbs to make this problem go away.
