I've been checking out these bikes. The asking price for a z750 has been $8999 and the z1000 $11,200. I'm pretty sure a guy could get the z750 for $8300 just by asking. Then a while back I saw z1000 being discounted to $8999. How can the price for the z1000 be reduced so much? There isn't any advertised Kawasaki rebates. If the z1000 is reduced that much, how likely is it to get a similar discount on the z750? I'm just trying to learn how this works, it saves me and the salesperson hassle if I get the chance (ie $$) to buy a bike this fall.
Obviously the z1000 is a way better deal at the above price points (I don't know if those prices are still valid). However, I really don't need the extra 250cc and I'd rather save money.
Along the same vain, I've heard people talking about Suzuki rebates but I haven't seen anything on their website. I take it that you have to visit a shop to get the latest info? (I don't get too many chances to visit bike shops).
