After a good run up to Harrison and back we stopped at my buddies house in Maple Ridge. Still had some daylight and it was gorgeous out so we went for a short ride. We headed out towards Pitt Lake along the road there, my friend got stuck in a rut and ended up going wide. There isn't much of a shoulder on the road and what is there is very jagged cement. He made it off the road and onto the soft shoulder but lost control of the bike and went down. He is ok, might have a broken thumb and he has minor scrapes. He was wearing proper gear so injuries were minimal. The bike, a 2000 R6, is most likely a write off, flipped numerous times and ended up in the ditch. We went into the corner around 50 and exited about the same speed which was not excessive for the radius of the turn.
If you decide to ride this road, please be very careful. The purpose of this thread is just to let you guys know that the road is very dangerous and not worth travelling.
